PROGRAMME 1: THE BLOW OF THE RED WIND 

 
If you want to know the communist history and see Nowa Huta above all, this
trip
is made specially for you. You will see how people lived in the communist
reality, you will learn many unfulfilled plans of the communist governments
and
paradoxes of that era. You will visit places where people sang songs for
Stalin
in the communist times and then fought for independent Poland.

We prepared the longest possible tour in Cracow consisting of 24 places.

You can stop wherever you want, you can go out of the communist car and our
driver will take pictures of you for keepsake.

You will be able to listen to the audio system specially prepared by the
experts
in the history of Nowa Huta which will go through all the places where you are
and in your language, obviously.

The trip will last about two and half an hour. Our driver will take you from
any
place indicated by you and will drive you back after the trip wherever you
want.

We will set off on a trip any time night or day. We work according to your
schedule and we don't have any fixed departure places and times.

PROGRAMME 2: THE TRAILS OF UNCLE LENIN

Apart from seeing many places like in the "With the blow of the red wind" trip
inseparably connected with the history of Nowa Huta, you will also have
unforgettable experiences.


The programme of visiting Nowa Huta with its 24 places also includes the
visiting of the underground propaganda cinema where you will see a documentary
on the Lenin monument from Nowa Huta and a genuine propaganda film from 1951
about building this town. The former will help you understand the political
changes in the communist district of Cracow connected with the Lenin monument,
first its erection, then the attempts to blow it up and finally getting rid of
it and its present situation. The latter will show you how they built the
communist district and how the ideology imposed by the communists influenced
the
people who came to live here.


Moreover, we will visit Nowa Huta club where we will give you fantastic pink
orangeade, cult communist drink and you will have a chance to buy many
souvenirs
with Nowa Huta symbols. You will also sit in old Nowa Huta chairs from the
50ties from the old Nowa Huta sphinx cinema. You will see the communist street
plates hanging on the walls and you will see a gallery presenting Nowa Huta
subject matter. In a big satellite picture of the district with a plant we
will
show you where we were and where we're still going to.

You will also see the Nowa Huta Museum where the exhibitions are connected
with
the history of this town within the space of 60 years. Depending on the
subject
matter of the exhibition you will see how they built Nowa Huta, the plant, the
struggle for independence or many souvenirs inseparably connected with the
people who live here and who are connected with this place.

PROGRAMME 3:  POTATO AND PROPAGANDA

If you think that apart from visiting Nowa Huta, the club, museum and the
propaganda cinema you should recall or learn what the communist reality looked
like in practice you can book this trip now.

So that you don't travel with an empty stomach first we will take you to the
genuine communist bar mleczny (milk bar) "Społem" existing in Nowa Huta from
the
beginning. You will eat what you want: schabowy (pork chop), mielony (ground
meat), pierogi - it's just a small part of the original Polish menu. And all
that in a communist setting. Women in aprons and caps certainly will not treat
you like a special guest. Despite the super low standard you'll certainly
enjoy
the meal.

If apart from raising the level of your stomach you want to raise the level of
the adrenalin we invite you to the road control by militia driving a genuine
communist police car. If you are obedient to the state authority maybe you
will
not undergo the body search and will go farther with us.
